Many of you may not know that Fred's doubles coupons up to $0.70 on Saturdays. I am unsure whether they accept Internet coupons or not; you will have to ask your individual store about that. Another great thing about Fred's (or at least mine does this) is that unlike Wal-mart or grocery stores that charge tax on your pre-coupon total, Fred's charges tax on the after-coupon total.
I got the three items in the picture below at Fred's for only $1.10 after coupons.
Dawn 14 oz. dish liquid on sale this week for $0.75
Used $0.50/1 Dawn coupon from P&G Everyday Savings Book (doubled to $1)
= free + $0.25 overage
Gain 11 oz. dish liquid on sale this week for $0.75
Used $0.25/1 Gain liquid coupon from P&G insert 1/16/11 (exp 2/28/11) (this doubled to $0.50)
= $0.25
Zest 5 bar soap pkg - $2
Used $1/1 Zest or Safeguard bar soap from P&G Everyday Savings Book
= $1
Keep in mind when you are doing these deals that Fred's only doubles the first coupon of like coupons in the same transaction, so if you have more than one coupon for a particular product, you might want to split your items into more than one transaction.
Welcome to my blog! I decided to start blogging after my pastor said we should all use whatever our special talents are to help people and glorify God. Since I have been a stay-at-home mom, I have learned a lot about saving money, and through my blog I would like to pass that knowledge on to you. This blog is going to be a hodgepodge of Bible passages, information on money saving such as coupons and sales, and information on free sample offers. I pray that my blog will offer help to many.
Philippians 4:19 (KJV)
"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:19 (KJV)
