Awesome Freebie You Don't Want To Miss Out On

I spend a lot of time on here blogging about couponing and freebies, but as I thought about it, I realized there was one incredible freebie that a lot of people in this world were missing out on, and I feel very privileged to blog about it. This is the greatest free gift you could ever receive...the gift of salvation through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

And what is the greatest thing about this gift? It lasts FOREVER!
John 3:16 (NIV) - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God knew that man would fall, but He sent His son as a means of reconciliation for man.
Hebrews 9:22 (NIV) - In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
When Jesus shed His blood on the cross, He paid our sin debt and made full atonement for our past, present, and future sins. When Jesus died on the cross, He provided the free gift of salvation for all of us, but you have to accept the gift.

Here's how to accept that free gift.
- You must have genuine repentance and faith.
- You must admit to the Lord that you are a sinner and ask for His forgiveness of your sins.
- You must confess that Jesus is Lord and must realize that this means that Christ must have full rule over your life.
- You must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross and was resurrected to pay the full penalty for our sins.
Romans 10:9-13 (NIV) - 9 If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, "Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame." 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile - the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Here is an example of the "sinner's prayer" from Wikipedia :
Heavenly Father, I know that I have sinned against you and that my sins separate me from you. I am truly sorry. I now want to turn away from my sinful past and turn to you for forgiveness. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, that He was raised from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become my Savior and the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You and to convict me when I sin. I pledge to grow in grace and knowledge of you. My greatest purpose in life is to follow your example and do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

I pray that if you haven't already accepted this free gift that you will accept it today.
